How to hack the air plane crash
A story like a film
“At Thirteen thousand meters altitude above the Indian Ocean, it even came to mind to ask instinctively: Now who the fuck will keep this transatlantic airborne?”
It’s ironic that this question is posed by the Captain of an Airbus, left without fuel in mid flight, considering the air plane crash.
At this dramatic moment, memories arise, regrets and recriminations in his life lucidly flashes like a film, with all his dreams, determination and awareness.
Why should a life be worth more than an ounce of gold?
Make up your mind
Perhaps my young co-pilot was right. We may not make it to Perth. The tail wind is helping us but it may not be sufficient. My calculations were wrong. We will crash. It was surely better to find a place in the ocean which was not in the grip of some storm and try to land on the water. To veer and try to another landing in an airport closed due to bad weather would be crazy. On the ocean, we still may be able to find a place where the sea is calm. Here, instead on the Australian coast, there’s no escape. We are getting closer to the mainland, it’s true but it’s land plagued by an unprecedented storm.
I no longer know what to do.
